Let Freedom Ring! 2019 July 4th Festivities

Independence Day is a big deal and Moore County likes to celebrate it in a big way!  Come out and enjoy these great events that offer fun for all ages.

  • Freedom Fest 2019 5:00-9:00 p.m., Pinehurst Resort:  Enjoy an evening of amusements, games, fireworks, a southern BBQ buffet, and part two of our Rock the Cradle Concert Series featuring Journey tribute band Departure. Tickets: $15-$75. Pinehurst Resort, 80 Carolina Vista Drive, Pinehurst.
  • Pinehurst Fourthfest Concert & Fireworks 6:00 – 10:00 p.m., Pinehurst Harness Track:  Children’s activities are free and will include a video game trailer, bounce houses and more! A large selection of food and beverages will be available for purchase, and picnic baskets are also allowed. Bring your own chair or blanket. Gates open at 4:00 pm. Family Activities and Entertainment from 6:00-9:00 pm. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15 pm. Pinehurst Harness Track, 200 Beulah Hill Rd., Pinehurst.   • July 4th Golf Tournament 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Foxfire Resort  & Golf:  Open to both Members & Non-Members. Foxfire Resort and Golf, Grey Course, 9 Foxfire Blvd, Foxfire Village. For more information or to register: 910-295-5555.
  • Pinehurst Fourthfest Parade in the Village 10:00 a.m. – Noon, Downtown Pinehurst Village:  Celebrate the USA with the annual Independence Day Parade. Food, fun and our annual Patriotic Pet Contest to follow on the Village Green. Local fruits and veggies will be on sale from the Sandhills Farmers Market. Downtown Pinehurst Village.
  • “Made in America” Concert by the Moore County Concert Band 2:00 p.m., Carolina Hotel Exhibition Hall:  Music deeply rooted in American culture has been chosen.  This concert allows the opportunity to extend gratitude to all branches of the military for protecting our freedom.  This free concert is open to the public. Seats are first come, first serve. Downstairs Exhibition Hall, Carolina Hotel, 80 Carolina Vista Drive, Pinehurst. For more info: 910-692-7012.
  • Aberdeen July 4th Celebration 5:00 – 10:00 p.m., Aberdeen Lake Park:  Enjoy an evening of live entertainment, food vendors, and activities for all ages. Admission to the park is free and children can purchase a $5.00 wristband, which allows them unlimited access to the Rock Climbing wall, inflatable slide, bounce houses, obstacle course, and much more. Kids activities start at 5:00 p.m., live entertainment starts at 6:00 p.m. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15 pm. Aberdeen Lake Park, 301 Lake Park Crossing, Aberdeen.   • Fort Bragg 50th Annual 4th of July Celebration  3:00 – 10:00 p.m., Main Post Parade Field, Fort Bragg:  The Fort Bragg Army base hosts an annual celebration like no other.  Activities include live concerts, parachute free-fall demonstrations, flag ceremony, kids activities, food & beverages, and fireworks.  This year’s concerts feature The Fifth at 6:45 p.m. and headliner 3 Doors Down at 8:30 p.m.  The 82d Division All American Rock Band is also scheduled to perform.  Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.  Free to the public.  Gates open at 1:00 p.m., and the activities begin at 3:00 p.m.  Security is a priority at a public event held on a military base.  Be sure to visit this link for important information on access to the base, parking, prohibited items, and other event details.
