SCORE – Sandhills Region
SANDHILLS SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) offers mentoring and seminars for men and women who wish to start a small business or build an existing business. SCORE members volunteer their time and are trained to serve as mentors to aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners. Our mentors are retired and active business people who have significant experience in the ownership, operation and/or management of both small and large businesses in many fields.
Sandhills Community College – Small Business Center
The Sandhills Community College Small Business Center offers free seminars, counseling, assistance, resources, and networking opportunities for small business owners, employees, and prospective business owners.
Sandhills Community College – Business and Industry
Sandhills Community College supports the local business community in a wide variety of ways. We provide customized training programs for businesses; seminars, lectures and resources for small businesses; training for displaced workers; management and business curriculum programs; and a career readiness certificate which helps employers hire the best applicant for the job.
Moore County Partners in Progress
Moore County Partners in Progress is the economic development organization for Moore County, North Carolina. We are a non-profit, public/private entity with a 501(c)(3) tax status. Our mission is to add wealth to the community by attracting investment to expand the tax base and increase jobs, wages and personal income — all directed toward maintaining and improving the quality of life for our citizens.
Moore Froward is a hub of entrepreneurship and innovation in Moore County. Initiatives include networking and events, co-working space, fellowships and more.

The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) has helped North Carolina businesses grow and create new jobs since 1984. We provide management counseling and educational services to small and mid-sized businesses. Most of our services are free of charge, and all are confidential. By providing entrepreneurs with the tools they need to build and grow successful businesses, the SBTDC positively impacts NC's economy.
